A 12 day mission aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, dedicated to the EVA assembly of the Canadian-built International Space Station robotic arm (SSRMS). Canadian colleague Chris Hadfield and Scott performed two EVAs to assemble the arm in space, spending well over 14 hours at vacuum. Scott also operated the Space Shuttle’s robotic arm to install and later remove the Rafaello Multi Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM) on ISS. Visit STS-100 Mission page

Florida Today article reporting Scott statement during EVA: “As our old friend Story Musgrave used to say, ’The only thing expected about spacewalks is the unexpected.’ He’s right on.”
